We have all heard of Vitamin C, and we know it’s good for us but, have you ever heard of taking large quantities of Vitamin C, much larger than you would think, to combat all types of illnesses? I was fortunate enough to learn about this method from a dear friend and started doing a good deal of research. I’ve been reading a book by Andrew Saul, Doctor Yourself, which is pretty amazing. I earned that most animals produce Vitamin C and some need to consume it. To humans, Vitamin C is essential for life and since we don’t produce it, we must consume it. Vitamin C is most commonly known for boosting our immune system, but is also needed for our bodies to produce collagen, which is required for the health and repair of various tissues including:
- skin
- bone
- cartilage
- ligaments and tendons
- blood vessel walls
- teeth
The daily recommended allowance is substantially lower than what your body really needs to function optimally. When Vitamin C is taken in high doses throughout the day there are therapeutic results that most people are not aware of. High doses of Vitamin C can replace antibiotics, antihistamines, antipyretics, antitoxins and antiviral drugs at saturation (bowel tolerance levels). “Saturation” means vastly higher doses than you ever imagined, and “bowel tolerance” means exactly what you think it means. Don’t be scared, no one has ever died from taking too much Vitamin C. Per Andrew Saul’s book, your body will use as much Vitamin C as it needs and get rid of what it doesn’t. Basically you take 1,000 mg an hour of Vitamin C until you reach bowel tolerance. Bowel tolerance doesn’t just mean running to the restroom, but can also mean when your stomach starts to rumble and you start passing gas. When you reach this point you will reap the therapeutic benefits of Vitamin C. There have been many doctors over the years use high doses of Vitamin C when treating their patients with a wide range of illnesses including cancer.
The powder form of Vitamin C is the purest, but can be quite bitter, it is also the least expensive form and can be purchased in bulk. I add water, drink, and follow with a big swish. You always want to rinse your mouth after taking Vitamin C in ascorbic acid form, over time it can hurt the enamel on your teeth.
Vitamin C is also available in capsules, chewable tablets and gummies. The gummies taste the best, but are also the most expensive form. Again when taking the chewables look for Vitamin C in Calcium Ascorbate, it is easier on your teeth or make sure you rinse or brush well after eating. Our kids love the chewables and gummies. Vitamin C can replace antibiotics, antihistamines, antipyretics, antitoxins, and antiviral drugs when taken at saturation levels.
Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant, helping to protect our cells from damage caused by free radicals. Our bodies also need Vitamin C to produce collagen, a protein used to help wounds heal, improves the absorption of iron from plant based foods, and boosts our immune system allowing us to fight off disease.
- Vitamin C can replace antibiotics, antihistamines, antipyretics, antitoxins, and antiviral drugs when taken at saturation levels
- The reason one nutrient can cure so many different illnesses is because a deficiency of one nutrient can cause many different illnesses
- Nutritional therapy is inexpensive, effective, and, most importantly, safe
- There has not been one death from vitamins
- A vitamin can act as a drug, but a drug can never act as a vitamin
